My no vote reflected that the company knows what they are doing and those that pushed C2012 on us from the union side didn't (unless they were knowingly selling us short). So far, I feel pretty good on my betting. :) ...and widebodies and hiring on friday? Where was that? There has been a widebody order discussed for, well... 2 years now. And we all know about the apparent typo that SD made. ;) I do think the leaving of narrowbody vacancies beckons toward hiring (flowing/recalling) sooner rather than later. |

Just did some scouting for you on DeltaNet (at home bored with a new born). Looks like you guys go S3 on all DCI flights except for Skywest and Expressjet (ASA) where you go S3C. This is because of Skywest's agreement with Delta that puts DAL employees behind Skywest employees on Skywest Inc. metal. On Pinnacle you will go S3 just as Pinnacles employees do, so DOH is the determining factor. All other DCI employees will go S3C on Pinnacle. I don't think S2s work at all on DCI anymore. At Compass we used to get six S2s per year and traveled S3 on DAL as well, prior to the sale. Hope this helps. As a 17 year commuter with 23 to go I will do whatever it takes to get everyone I can on. In the past I have sat many times on the door 3 757 FA jump ANC-MSP at the end of a 12 day trip after working HKG-KIX-ANC or TPE-NRT-ANC. I'm on the 88 so the legs are not too long, and truthfully the FA jumpseat is better. At least you can stand. I also will sit in a cockpit jumpseat (as long as there are no other online, offline pilots trying for it) on a DH or PS to training if it helps get another non rev junior to me on.

We are employed by an airline making record profits, and we're displacing 300+ pilots to lower paying equipment. Which will likely continue as 737-900's are delivered. It's damn painful to watch my more junior brothers suffer through this kind of backward movement and stagnation. Especially when our "network" grows. Carl |
