No that's not true. The initial sim instructors are already hired and trained. None are also Lca's.

I just watched Richard's interview from yesterday:
Delta Air Lines CEO on State of Company - CNBC My new favoirte buzzword: Jet Crack! We gotta have mo' Jet Crack! Gimme some of that Jet Crack! I need a fix of that Jet Crack! (I heard you can make it in your garage, all you need is a plastic jet and some batteries, then you sniff the fumes) I was gonna pay the pilots back, but then I got high (on Jet Crack!) I was gonna buy widebody jets, but then I got high, I don't need to hire pilots and I know why. Why Man? Because I got high(er ALV's) because I got high(er reserve utilization), because I got high(er stock price, which is how I get paid!). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAAyNyywhHc |

The most junior 717A (awarded) is about 900 numbers senior to the most junior M88A going through 717 training right now. I'm sure it's legal, however I'll bet some of those between those two numbers who bid it, but didn't get it aren't quite so understanding.

I remember reading in about 5 years from the SLI date is when some of the angst would start to become apparent for certain seniority levels. Is what it is.
C'mon guys, show some love for Minnie and the Motor City. Shoveling snow is great exercise. |

All I know is Atlanta just keeps getting more and more senior with every bid.

MSP has lost about 300 pilots in the last 2 1/2 years, so it has become more senior during that time. Hopefully the bleeding will stop and some 717's will be added to replace the numerous 50-seaters there.
