80 and FTB,

Yeah, unfortunately I was....Such is life. I should know better by now than to bid so junior on equipment. Finished my TOE on the 19th and found out I was displaced on the 20th.....DOH! That's the bad news. The good news is I get to go back to the 767ER!! I do like the ER flying, it's very diverse.

Sorry to hear that, Denny. The good news is you only have to go through the short course when you get recalled on the next AE. :o

You were displaced to make room for a "new" captain slot, right? :)

Hopefully next bid will nix your displacement! (don't forget to check that you wish to be reinstated on your bid preferences if that's what you want)

Thanks NewK. I've been bumped off equipment a couple of times before. I suspect there wont be any bids on it until the flat seat conversion is complete. To tell you the truth, I don't know if I'll put in for re-instatement back to it or not. (For a combination of reasons like being so junior and trip selection. Not because I don't like the Airbus. I actually do like it!) We'll see.....

How'd you know!?! I can't get anything past you!;):)

It's kind of funny. I've kept an eye on the A330 category here in SEA and, if memory serves me okay, it's stayed very stable with no displacements. That's one reason I felt okay bidding junior on it. Well dontcha know, the bid after I get it, the company decides it's overmanned. DOH!

Not sure about asking for reinstatement right now. I have a while to make that decision.

Where's the Bags fly Free? Actually brought EB down to GRU this morning and he commented on how different their commercials were compared to what they were showing during the NFL season. They are leaving a ton of money at the table with their lack of ancillary fees and they know it. Just don't know how to change their tune so abruptly.

Yeah a little copycat except its in color and they had Fun! doing the music. Interesting, they are morphing. Don't know if that's a good thing for them or not but this time period will be a watershed time in their existence.
