That would be great. New hires... would be a breath of fresh air here, and long overdue. If they pass the interview and make it to Delta, I don't care where in the USA they come from...

Nobody likes declaring an emergency, but you have the authority...and you must use it. Another great lesson for us because it didn't cost lives.

Bingo! It's like hearing the guys ask what other people are doing about the weather ahead. Fly your own plane!!

Ha ha! So true! Flying the redeye from SEA to JFK the other night and we hear this....

JetBlue: Salt Lake Center JetBlue XXX.

SLC Center: JetBlue XXX, Salt Lake Center go ahead.

JetBlue: We see that WX up ahead. How have most been deviating around that?

SLC Center: Most have been going south of it.

JetBlue: Soooooooo.......then maybe about a 130 heading......or direct XYZ? Do you think that'll work?

I already told my CA my plan to go around the WX before this. After hearing this he said "I really don't care how you go just as long as you don't ask ATC what to do."

I wanted to grab a couple from the T4 opening and do my Enroute PA in Chipmunk voice. No dice.

Doing SXM-ATL today and someone asked how far people were deviating around weather. Choose your own adventure!

We all know Jimmy Page could shred on electric but my favorites were his acoustic stuff, like this:

I still find myself singing "Going to California" every time I fly from ATL to LAX.

Here's the lyrics: Going to California Led Zeppelin with lyrics - YouTube

Led Zep was a great band- I listen to their stuff at least once weekly usually at the gym. Very motivational.

But for my vote for best band is Pink Floyd. Outstanding music. And I heard David got his job from Syd by dynamic attrition.

No kidding.

Witnessed a nonrev story today.

Family of 4 nonrevs get on. Dad gets a seat in first class. Mom and kids are stuck in coach. Turns out that we are short one seat in coach. Mom and kids will have to get off. Dad remains on and enjoys his first class seat leaving his young family at the airport. What do you think he will get for Father's day?

That's funny...I guarantee the next child she has won't belong to him.
