Isn't that really the crux of it all?
I sure would hope the former...

A few rumors to divert us from union drivel...

My last two trips have been with LCA types so take this with a grain of salt.

321s are on the horizon. These will tie in to getting the 320/319 fleet RNP certified. Airbus was a bit upset after we chose the 737 last time and made the RNP certification cost prohibitive.

As of last they had heard in the WB race Airbus was in the lead based on cost but there were rumblings Boeing may have mad a last minute pitch to win some or all of the order.

As for hiring it sounds like sooner rather then later.

Now back to your regularly scheduled DPA versus DALPA fight....

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Maybe even shrink to profitability forever.

By the way FTB, what exactly would you say that you "do here", anyway?

Is that before or after we pass a resolution demanding the reinstatement of 75/76 Domestic, senior reserves forever entitled to never fly and triple dip touch drops?

BTW I like how you troll.

He has tainted the drive. I wish he would've stepped back from the spotlight much sooner and let someone else be the visible advocate.

One person, be it Lee Moak or T Caplinger, can ruin public support by their choice of words. In Moaks case by some of his actions too. Caplinger is like a big wart on the face of the campaign.

Please understand that this is what I believe. This is my opinion based on what I've been exposed to with this drive. DPA can improve their image by listening to opinions expressed here and other venues. We all have asked ALPA to listen, DPA should do the same.

I'm just one person, but I have talked to many who feel the same way. Right now ALPA is the lesser of two evils. Give me a reason to support the DPA again. Don't give me a list of pro DPA anti ALPA stuff. I know all that. Give me a reason to get behind the PEOPLE responsible for the drive.

Edit....feel free to share this with the DPA leadership.
We don't necessarily disagree hoser. I've not met Tim but I have to admire the energy and dogged determination he's shown despite very long odds, although it couldn't have been done without ALPA's help. I do think Tim's political missteps were based on being so passionate about an independent union. He had to know that the slightest DPA misstep would be ALPA front page news while ALPA missteps (like this one with the NTSB) would be totally ignored and excused by the army of well funded apologists. That's the power of incumbency.

We won't be able to elect the leaders of DPA if and until we win the election. So if you won't vote for an independent union based on the unelected leadership that are running the decertification effort now, then I'm guessing we won't get your vote. If we do decertify ALPA, I sure hope you'll vote to put in leaders that you think will be best.

Thanks for the response Carl. One point. The unelected leadership running the decertification effort is 'the face' of the DPA. Maybe if the face of the DPA was more like this I'd climb aboard....hehehe.

That may have been the most bone-headed resolution in the history of *ANY* pilot union of any name. But it did prove my long-standing contention that the senior domestic 767 captains were by far the most set in their ways group of pilots in the airline (at least ever since the 727 was retired).
