Glad to see there is a similar sentiment regarding CDO's among many of us. :)

i don't think that was announced, 92 was a recent rumor on what would be parked. Denny mentioned 92 fleet total. Could be something in the middle like... 92.

I had a late ORF not too long ago with FAs were doing a lean over and because we were so late they only had 3 hours til they showed for the outbound, so they slept on the plane. Are crews allowed to still sleep on the planes during these lean over things?

And how safe are you driving home after all of that?

Does anyone have insight on the 10 hour rule? I talked to one of the smarter guys around about it not to/too/two long ago and he mentioned it might make the number of commutable trips drop a lot to meet the time parameters.

And I am 100% in favor of the 10 hour rule. It's about time airline crews get as much rest as a Baron 58 Part 135 guy.

I know on the FDL side, as aircraft up through 683 come up for their next heavy check they are also up for being parked. Subject to change depending on how many pieces of corn RA finds in his morning poop.

CDO=Continuous duty overnight, also known as: illegal, highspeed, lean over, stand up, and nap.

Sign in at 9 or 10pm, fly to outstation, spend 5 or 6 hours on the ground, fly back to hub and get released. The entire time is on duty since it is less than legal to rest for a regular overnight.

Thx 80. Wow that sounds bad.

Here's some info from crew resources on where they're putting the furlough recall guys:
"
The positions being offered are the positions where we will continue to grow in the future (717, 73N) and where their seniority can hold.

Our goal is to minimize the training churn. Obviously placing the returning pilots all on the 717 would waste 717 training slots as they quickly bid off. We feel these positions will allow the pilots to return to a position they will remain in for at least the short-term.
