Bar,
Not only does the new 737 have two full size winglets per wing - yep thats right, two per wing - take that Airbus. Additionally, all the volume knobs go up to 12! I cant believe its taken this long since Spinal Tap broke the 10 barrier with an 11, until someone (Boeing) had the vision, guts and fortitude to blow through the 11 barrier and lay down the gauntlet at 12! I just dont see how anyone can ever have a louder volume than 12. I think we can rest assured that 12 is the new "limit" as far as volume goes, and will be for the foreseeable* future. Scoop :) * There really is no such thing as the foreseeable future - that is why its called the future. |

Looks like some of the smaller B categories can be back doored now. Not all. Just some. Don't go poking around in places you don't belong sporting your team colors, unless, you're Tsquare.

Having a realistic 5 year plan is unique in the airline business. I believe Mr. Anderson has pulled it off. We are stable enough to strategize that far out with some certainty.
Many airlines have had time horizons which were not even 5 weeks out. When cash is in short supply, very cheap airplanes and maintenance are your friend. When you have the luxury of a longer time horizon managers can manage for marginal improvements through things like oil refineries and fleet upgrades. And then there is the third track. Hubris used to lead to irrational orders ... like PSA flying L1011's up the west coast, or Braniff's pop & fizzle. http://www.aviationexplorer.com/Old_.../PSA_L1011.jpg Cool Idea http://www.psa-history.org/sites/def...oungepromo.jpg Not a Profit Center .... Why is ATL88B always last category to have bids published? Looks like we will have to wait until tomorrow. Bummer.

Is there going to be any OE in oct for 717 guys/girls? What about nov? There is going to be a little bit of a backlog if they don't get started soon?

This industry is screwed up. And the largest problem is it requires airplanes. And fuel. And pilots. And Flight attendants. And people. And money. IF you could get rid of all of those problems it'd be profitable.
