Two weeks ago it was that people just wanted to hear that their Reps agreed we needed to better, now its deeds, and when the deeds do something it will be that it wasn't quick enough, or still missed what we "really" wanted.

Like nailing jello to the wall eh?

Do you feel better now?

"line in the sand..."

"we heard you loud and clear..."

He had to have taken more than 2 pictures.

I'll bet that's really him, inside the Duck suit! :D I only wonder if he's got his big orange T shirt on under there too!

ExAF's reply just reminded me about the WiFi/battery thing.

I find the same problem (it's trying to connect all the time) when I'm out and about, so I turn off the WiFi when I'm on a walkabout, or better yet, if I know I'm not going to be making/taking calls, I'll put it in 'Airplane Mode' just to keep it from searching for towers if I'm driving/flying through the outback with no way to charge it, or when on a layover in Tokyo, etc.

That will save the battery for later, when you might need it. My EVO will stay charged for a good 24 hours or more when I leave it in Airplane Mode. The GPS will still work for mapping.

I just picked up a Moto X, by Motorola. The only smartphone Made In America, Ft. Worth TX to be exact. I love it. Way better battery life than my Iphone, nice camera, google now voice commands (if you want them), and a very clean Android install with almost no bloatware. It's available on every US network. You can choose any color you want, there are hundreds of combinations. This was the first phone made by Motorola for their new owners, Google. It's the result of a lot of data driven engineering decisions, and from my perspective, they've nailed it. Perfect every day phone.

More precise is it is assembled in the US. Still, good on Motorola/Google for doing that, and they do plan to move more of the part manufacturing to the US.
Plus the customization is really neat.

As a reminder, America's Cup racing will be live on NBC Sports Channel at 4pm east today. (right now)

Let's hope they get a couple races in today, yesterday was postponed due to high winds.

Do you happen to know how many are in the Nov 18th class date?
Also out of the 200 out on furlough around what # were you?

Did some FTB style spreadsheeting.

Here's the info right now based on the Oct13 Category list, and modified by any AE award that has a lower seniority #. I also looked at the Sep and Oct 13 Line vs. Res counts, and show the seniority # of both the lowest lineholder as well as the actual most junior guy in that category. Left side is sorted by lowest total seniority, right side is same info sorted by lowest lineholder.

Below that is what seniority # it takes to hold each base as a Capt, and to hold a line there.

I have also cross referenced the ALPA seniority calculator, which takes into account all retirements and gives my seniority at the END of each year. According to that, I can:
HOLD CAPT anywhere (NYCM88A) by end of 2020.
HOLD a LINE somewhere as Capt (NYCM88A) by end of 2021.

I was hired in 2001. That means at the 19 year point I MAY be able to commute to NYC to be the bottom reserve guy. At the 20 year point, I can commute to NYC to actually hold a Capt line. At the end of 21 years, I can hold a line west of the Mississippi in something.

Sorry, but THAT is the real data as of today--all else is smoke and sunshine being blown up my posterior.

On a brighter note, according the ALPA seniority calculator, I will retire at number -25. I have that going for me.

Not totally sure of the number per class..but 20/ 2 week start date seems to be the number quoted the most on the APC board. Maybe 25 per class per month to get to the 50 per month number. I was # 64 on the recall/bypass list.
