But again, that's a Delta call, not DCI. Even Pat Summit of TN flew w/ her team on an RJ charter I flew, a very gracious lady. A treat to meet her.

ASA even flew 4-5 RJs (50 seats) to Tuscaloosa once to fly the FB team to Athens Ga instead of a 757 or something similar. Needless to say Saban was ****ed! But, again, Delta made that decision of what plane to use. No doubt more profit w/ the RJs (at the time) was the deciding factor I would guess.
My understanding Hoser, from those same coordinators, is the teams decide what they are going to fly. They are given a cost sheet for each aircraft type and they then choose what a/c they are going to charter.
I've flown the FL mens BB team (the '06 National champions team) on a 50, and it was painful watching Joakim Noah fold himself into row 10!! Those decisions are made by the teams themselves and it all boils down to money and egos! Just look what Auburn chartered in 2010 for the BCS game:

Btw, I'm not running for anything. AA has run for negotiating committee and MEC chair before. Each time he has withdrawn prior to the vote. With the history of 54/20 and AA's participation in KW's campaign vs current 20 rep BB, it will be interesting to see how the politics flow this week.

IMHO we need a steady hand on the tiller, whoever that is.

Behind he scenes the work of the Delta pilots is being done by those who tirelessly work at numerous issues exemplified by scheduling, safety, compliance and planning. The Company seems to have backed away from "constructive engagement." We need a strong unifying leader who is the public face of the Delta pilots, while privately cultivating the support structure and ensuring those in the batters box are ready to step up to the plate.

I trust my Reps in this matter and will support their decision. They have a lot better information on this sort of thing than those of us in the bleachers. There are a couple of men I had hoped might be candidates who have not yet indicated an interest in running.

Saying that you're going to be a candidate for MEC chairman is practicing the politics of personal destruction? Among the many reasons you shouldn't be in our union in any capacity, let's add being a drama queen to that list.

Wow. Those United and Continental pilots are not getting along on that other thread. Were we ever that bad?

OR a baseball bat!

If they thought hitting mailboxes from a moving car was fun, just wait until they start playing Drone Ball!

Buzz, there are lots of big pines in central Florida where I live, up high on "The Ridge". Tsq lives on the coast, much wetter soil there.

That is exactly what I think every time I perform the cockpit gymnastics required to get into the 737. It s almost as if they were finished with the NG and then said "Oh crap we need to fit tow pilots up here."

I will take any mainline cockpit including the 88/90 over the 737.

Speaking of which, when do they start installing the jumbo-trons in the MD's?
