Reserve question.

I am going from a regular line to reserve. I have the last of December off and have X-days starting January 1st. For purpose of bidding golden days do I have an obligation to check my schedule on December 31 for January 1st?

I prefer to use my Golden days later in the month but not at the expense of getting something on the first.

Thanks

Are you on RSV January 1st? If not, then just don't answer the phone. You can only bid a golden day on an X day, but if you're on an X day Jan 1st then you have no obligation to check your schedule, or be reachable, on the 31st...

Hope that helps

Orvil,

I just reread your question. You have no obligation to check your schedule on the 31st since you are on an X day on the 1st. Save your golden days for later in the month.

You only check your schedule/acknowledge SC/trip after 1500 the day prior to your first on call day, and no later than 1 hour prior to a SC or 3 hours prior to report for a rotation.
