Last time I was there in Sept 2011, the DC-10's were gone. :( I looked all over trying to find them.

They are in the big boxes in the basement, labeled "ark". It has been quite sometime since I was in the building. Although I often wonder what Lunchroom Katie is doing now...

You've really been digging yourself into holes the last 24 hours. Might be time to put down the shovel for a bit. ;)

You might check on the pay at Virgin. Branson talks a good game but pays his people peanuts.

A study of average salaries by the Civil Aviation Authority put the top earners at British Airways (£107,600), followed by Virgin Atlantic (£89,500), Monarch (£80,100),Thomson Airways (£78,300), Thomas Cook Airlines (£75,200), Easyjet (£74,100), Jet2.com (£69,900) and bmi (£58,300).

That means the top earner at Virgin made less then 150,000 as a 747 Captain in 2011.

I just looked. Thomas Cook in May is over 700 EU round trip. Thompson is a fly stay package for about 800 -1000 pounds dependent on the hotel. Interesting. Monarch doesn't fly to MCO.

Is a union even necessary?

We "force" Mr. Anderson to do a lot of things that are "unprofitable". Maybe we should just get rid of that pesky contract.

This is a ridiculous argument. I never used either of those words. As a matter of fact, it has nothing to do with either. It has to do with control, neither of which you or I or ALPA has much.

That's been my argument for many many months.
