And further, they weren't really concerned about what we were paid in 2004, only what we were paid since they were hired.

I think the more new hires we have with no personal knowledge of the past, the less likely we'll ever restore our buying power to the glory days. It is what it is.

Great theory, though.

Ummm, start talking with the FOs that have been in that seat for 15 years and lived through furlough and BK.

Should be easy.

You're an ER captain, right? Usually get two per leg over the water? Gives you twice the chance to find out:rolleyes:

So when we look back fondly on C2K, maybe we should do it in a more complete context.

Go ahead. Just say it.
C2K paid too much.

Sailing, you said that the company vowed to not make a purchase without inked pay rates. What about the 321?

We no longer have 3b6 so it no longer applies.

You might want to re-read your previous post. It was specifically in response to your statement about junior (read newer) FO's holding out for higher pay... I did not find that to be the case... YMMV. ( right back atcha!) :p

If that's the message you took from the review of the historical record you need a refund on your last 24 years of airline education.;)

No, you go re-read it. I referred to junior pilots, not new hire or junior new hire.

It did not necessarily "read newer". It was referring to the longtime FOs at Delta who have:

1. Been furloughed

2. Been through BK and watching PRPs bounce back

3 . Watched age 65 stagnate them yet again

4. Finally, been party to a merger where 1+1=1.5

Should we bring up scope, whether it be RJ or code share?

Try asking those in this demographic. You should be flying with them. Or, are these guys scattering as soon as the transportation arrives at the hotel:eek:

Chillax... I get there are many different layers of pain since 2001. We'll have to agree to disagree about how you see the senior (read older) pilots voting. (I'm pretty sure those 62% didn't just come from my demographic.)

BTW, since you don't have a clue about me, I do just fine with my crews... thanks for your concern, though.

Oh, and thanks for your clarification about your definition of junior... I didn't realize you were writing about only your demographic...

I do agree that if we have any chance of uniting, we well have to replace your and mine with ours.

Good luck to us all.

I don't think Chillax... is the best statement to a pilot that has been through all that. Seems a little harsh, just like contract 2012.

The Company never again to make a purchase without inked pay rates so long as 3 B. 6. was in the PWA.
