Has anyone ridden on Delta connection recently out of ATL? They are no longer putting pink tags on bags but they are putting white tags which automatically send your bag to baggage claim. I was also told by the red coat that I could not use my yellow tag. Who came up with this brilliant idea?

But at least they're getting 88 717's to replace DCI flying that have overhead bins...
As a side benefit, it will help to alleviate the lack of overhead bin space on mainline planes departing hubs!

Douglas is such a screwed up company. They are giving non union SC employees bonuses for screwing up less, while not paying union Seattle employees extra for fixing all the "travelled work" on fuselage sections from South Carolina.
Boeing's attitude is once the unfinished parts are in Seattle, then it is a Seattle problem and the union workers are resposible.
It is amazing Boeing can survive this kind of mismanagement. It is like Delta under Leo. Why doesn't the Board do something?

For many, we've gotten used to large parts of the f-NWA network going away. It should be news, but it just isn't because it is expected by many.

I see how this can be a good idea but it has been very poorly executed by the company. We've been conditioning the traveling public since the nineties that the overheads are too small and they need to gate check and now all of the sudden the overheads maniacally grew and everyone is expected to bring their bags on.
