Got it.
Boog, according to Delta's SEC filing, Delta had 26 more mainline planes at the end of 2013 then they had at the end of 2012.

Interesting. They still need an additional 35 ATL7ERB's even though they presumably wouldn't be trained/converted until after the summer. The guys from the last bid are converting JUL/AUG so it really seems like they are too late to staff up for summer

I believe they had unfilled vacancies in the ATL ER on the last bid. If they remain unfilled on this bid, they will go to new hires.

Anyone know if we're allowed to use the faster/better wifi connections at the layover hotels?
Some of the low speed connections are very slow, practically unusable. I'm assuming we are supposed to use the cheaper option, but I haven't been able to find it in contract.

I know my bags fit, but that means I have to push onto the plane early instead of my usual "hang back and stay out of the fight" tactic.

Methinks they are going to have to start increasing pay on the ER next contract to make the jump more appealing for senior guys. I'm sure putting newhires in the ER creates a good amount of redundant training cost. At least it did when I was hired.

So what's in any of that for you and me? Nothing. 10 whole A330s, that will be here in 2 years. God knows how long it will be before that RFP is turned into real live airframes. I can't get the least bit excited about that.
