Serious question do you know for sure that he works at National or is that just your gut?

Yeah, but the way you call someone out is to refute their argument not question their integrity. In my book that is where you go wrong.

I quite agree. We should provide an ability for those who wish to fly (and earn) more and provide more paid time off (e.g., vacation) so that those who do wish to fly more are not compelled to do so.

Are we sniping again?

True story. I don't know any details of how it went down but the pilot who early retired was a great guy.

That's fair.

Since I don't work for ALPA national, add that quote to the list of things you're wrong about.

When you're done being wrong about me, maybe you could spend a few seconds addressing the statements I made? Is it easier to get a better contract when the company is making a profit, or losing money?

THe ROI is much much better, but I totally understand their logic in buying stock.
Has anyone watched the series House of Lies"? This is a page out of the House of Lies consulting handbook. It has no benefit to the corporation. It only benefits the consultants and shareholders with maturing stock options. Stock buybacks are ripoffs. Notice they didn't buy anything back when it was trading for $4.00 a share. Stock buybacks only serve to temporarily artificially inflate the stock price. In many cases, stock buybacks hurt the company.

Assuming "we" is NWA ALPA, I don't know when you voted to freeze it, but the freeze didn't happen until after you entered bankruptcy.

BTW, DAL ALPA voted to soft freeze ours too, and the combination of paycut and soft freeze had the same effect as a hard freeze. It was frozen 9 months BEFORE we entered bankruptcy.....but still terminated.

Stock buy backs are a waste of corporate funds.
