I'm not sure that I agree with you--on any of them.
To spare all of us a long editorial, item #2 wouldn't happen, especially if we all voted in favor of an assessment. If mgmt tried to force #3, what would they state in court? That they have the right to unilaterally alter our contract when they see something that they don't like? While we are at it why don't we just let SD set the payscales as well? Is it not possible that just about every time a reserve trip is assigned that just about every pilot could wait until 3 hours before report to acknowledge and the company would remove them from the trip via PD? The only other time I can see where a reserve pilots is required to check his schedule is at the end of the last leg of a trip. Is this not true? |

Maybe we should start with number 1, because it is probably a misunderstanding on my part.

Ha! I've worked rolling thunder to near perfection this month. I've been thinking of bidding regular line Shanghai trips in July and then dropping the first day of each then white slipping and dropping the first day until I get about 84 hours (use 7 payback days). Then green slip the whole month...:). The Shanghai trips are always in open time.

Say I have 2 payback days in the bank. I bid a regular line with a 4 day trip that is worth 12 hours on day one. I use one payback day to drop the 12 hour day (and the trip) and get paid for the 12 hours.

Can I white slip that same trip and then use my second payback day to drop the 12 hour day (and the trip) again and get paid for it? Thus getting 24 hours for 2 payback days.

NewK, you seem to be coming down pretty hard on guys who don't want to set the precedent of the company amending the contract via unilateral memo. Why?
I also don't think I'm coming down hard on anyone. But, some tempers are flaring and there's name calling going back and forth. So, I just want to know why certain people are saying what they are saying. This is definitely an issue worth fighting for and I can see a lot of people are ready. But, I've learned a long time ago, what's more important than just fighting is winning. |

Throw in the descriptor "every long call pilot" and I'd say you are exactly right.
Denny Thanks Denny! If that's true, hopefully people can see where I'm going with this. How is everything going? :D |

I do believe it was in the last "survey" equal time for equal trips for reserves and line fliers (at least everyone I talked too wanted that) and we see where that went in the last contract.

Unfortunately, this won't work. If you use payback days to drop a trip, the system will automatically use as many payback days as you have, up to the length of the trip.
See above. You certainly can WS it again and drop it again if you have enough PB days. Yes. Denny |

Why go up to 84? Couldn't you just stop at the premium pay trigger, i.e., the lesser of the ALV or 75?
