The way it's supposed to work if they can't is to come back to the Reps for clarification or redirection, NOT get a TA that is outside one of the box parameters and then put the MEC in the position of accepting something less than directed or voting it down at a possible cost. Lather, rinse, repeat as necessary.

What about a situation like we just had, where the MEC had the negotiators fix the problem, to make the TA acceptable to 100% of the MEC?

How is that broken?

Yes it does. The rest was 100% acceptable, and the controversial part was removed. I don't understand your attempt to make this look like a problem. The pilots we elected to get us a good deal, got us a good deal.

The first time the Scrappy/Admin team brought us back a deal, both the MEC and the pilot group approved it.

Even with the latest and greatest 767 mods, it is about 20 percent more expensive all in than a narrow body jet.

For those of you history buffs out there, there is a great program on the History Channel right now -- The World Wars.

Check it out.

Aw man I was just settling in to watch Ken Burn's Civil War on Netflix or Amazon Prime. Either one. Can't decide.

I mean how can you beat

"Wilmer Mclean had had enough. Two great armies were converging on his farm, and what would be the first major battle of the civil war - Bull Run, or Manassas, as the Confederates called it- wuld soon rage across the aging Virginian's farm, a union shell going so far as to explode in the summer kitchen. Now McLean moved his family away from Manassas, far south and west of Richmond, out of harm's way, he prayed, to a dusty little crossroads called Appomattox Courthouse. And it was there in his living room, 3 1/2 years later, that Lee surrendered to Grant.

And Wilmer McLean could rightfully say, "The war began in my front yard and ended in my front parlor."

The Civil War was fought in 10,000 places from Valverde New Mexico and Tullahoma Tennessee to St Albans Vermont and Fernandina on the Florida Coast. More than 3 million Americans fought in it, and over 600,000 men, 2% of the population, died in it.
Just great telling of history that Ken Burns and is narrator. And Shelby Foote. I want his accent.

For me, the Civil War is hard to beat. But, here's my secret:

Save one to DVR then watch the other right after. Back up plan: If you are out of space, The World Wars is a three part series and they will show all of them tomorrow leading up to the last one.

I hate being such a nerd. :D

No problem, Timbo!

My most enjoyable trips are ones where the other guy/gal is a fellow history buff. The flights go by fast!

If you look at Shelby's eyes when he is telling a story, it looks like he is recalling what he saw -- like he was there.
