I'm interested in seeing this in print. I've only heard rumors of rumors, but nothing actually stated for a nb SEA base. Where is this written?
"The paradigm is shifting in SEA. As noted in Mr. Anderson’s brief to the base, expect significant growth in SEA over the next couple of years to include some sort of narrowbody basing yet to be determined." secretary's perspective council 54. |

Is that a Purple Heart? Can't quite tell on my little screen. |
Of my two earlier posts, the Moak/Anderson got most of the attention. I'm curious how the AA pilot negotiations will work. It sounds like they can improve on what they already have? Anyone understand the new negotiations?
Re-posted here for reference: Sky Talk: Pilots to begin contract negotiations with American in July "Given American Airlines' competitive position, it is our firm view that meaningful improvements to our current collective bargaining agreement — an agreement reached under duress during Chapter 11 bankruptcy — must be on the negotiating table," the union said in its message to members. "We look forward to a healthy bargaining dialogue with the new management team that reflects the dramatically improved state of American Airlines and the industry itself." Although the APA negotiated a new contract with American while it was in bankruptcy, the pilots need to negotiate a new joint contract that will cover both the American and former US Airways pilots. |
All I can say is............................I'm not holding my breath.
Their past track record in pre-merger/bankruptcy negotiations does not lead one to have a lot of confidence that they will negotiate a new contract before we do. I sure hope they do. Denny |

OK Boeing and Import Export Bank, top this:
Given the prohibition against usury (with some exceptions) a Sharia compliant agreement could be quite the interesting legal document. Boeing says it is not worried about losing ExIm financing... Hopefully for the rest of us the tail falls off before it reaches it's target. |
