Carl, I love ya dearly man, but I just fast forwarded through 5 or 6 pages of you and the ALPA nitwits duking it out over stuff that has and never will be settled. Trust me, it's you and about 3 guys vs about 3 or 4 ALPA guys.........no one else is reading it. If you haven't noticed, the participation around here is almost nil.

Here's my suggestion..........start a new thread! Call it "Latest and Worse of DALPA" or something like that.

Or, and this is my preference, tell a joke, tell a flying story or two, post some cheerleader picks (remember when you used to do that?)

Look guys, we have a bunch of new guys coming that will need "how to" help just like us NWA guys did a few years ago. We need to clear the decks for that.

JMHO,
Ferd

We've been through this before Ferd. I get it from all sides by the entire Special Committee and the MEC admins who post here on flight pay loss. I'm one guy. I ignore the vast majority of shots taken at me and only reply to the really bad actors here. Sorry if that's too much for you, but I have no intention of letting pure propaganda go unchallenged.

Amen. I rarely read this thread anymore. I appreciate arguments from both sides but this thread has been pretty much hijacked by a handful of people. I wish they would just start their own DALPA thread. Mods??

Motion seconded. Move it to a "What's wrong with DALPA," thread.

Let's get back to basics here: Welcome to new hires, PWA questions, IPA recommendations, funny gifs, how only manly-men can fly 88's, how you don't really fly an Airbus, and most importantly ....

... Underboob.

I don't know why you guys bicker over stuff you basically can't control. The company can kick you to the curb at any given time. If you don't believe me I have 3500 'buddies' that will back me up. When it comes to contract time, you go in with the best ideas you got, and see who can go without sleep the longest. It's a great job, be proud.

Easy. You didn't live under the contract. You lived under the cushy special circumstances of MEC admins on full flight pay loss and all the perks that go with it. And nobody said you sabotaged the contract.

So here we see Carl's continued use of attack and deflect. Whenever he is forced to defend his actions with facts he just moves on to the next attack. Wiggle, wiggle, squirm, squirm.

Let's summarize the facts that Carl has avoided and a few more:

1. What contract do I live under right now?
2. In 2012, how many months did have trip drops and how many did I fly the line?
3. How many hours a month did I get paid in 2012?
4. What are the perks that come with working in the union?
5. You claim that the contract is cost neutral, yet you fail to identify where the cost savings are coming from. I showed how you needed to have 1,795 job losses to become neutral and you showed 173 even with a grossly flawed analysis. Where are the rest of the job losses?
6. What are the results of your call to Kingsley detailing how I helped him?

I await your answers. Well, not really. We all know that when forced to give some type of concrete answers to questions Carl will deflect and dodge and attack and bloviate. Same old schtick.

I like both sides of the story and you do offer another perspective which can be good. It's just too much of an us versus them mentality with you which may come from somewhere in your career that I can't fathom. To me, we're us, working toward a better career. There's room for civil disagreement on the way we achieve it without belittling and name calling. We know what we've lost.

^^^This

Hawaii, Ferd, Buzz, etc all summed it up better than I tried to do. Put all this to rest and let's focus on the next round.

Megyn Kelly would have eaten that dude alive and on camera. The difference between MSNBC and Fox? That guy never would've been put on the air.

I can't dispute anything you wrote, here.

In vino veritas. ;)
