I thought we told you not to bid Mexico trips! ;-)

People covered the sim stuff, but if you've been off a while you'll need to complete the CQ disks that you've missed. When I came back from Disability they mailed the one I need to be. But if you've only been off for 90 days or so you might not need to.

Thanks!
I just finished 320 requal. Due to a delay getting my special issuance, I went from recurrency to a short requal (6-12 months.) With seat support, I did 3 sims. Two warm ups and a combination MV/LOE. (if you are with another requal it's 4 sims.) Then I did a turn for OE/line check.

Looking back, it's probably better that I had all the practice, and at least I'm up to date on checkrides for awhile.

Headed out tomorrow for my first reserve trip. Back to a line again next month

Contract/Pay question: I was removed from a portion of a rotation due to getting rerouted on the previous rotation(FAR Rest conflict). My time card does not show the rotation guarantee. What's the best way to go about this? Will it get settled out later? Thanks.

Mrs Buzz may already know.........she hauled his butt out of the lazy boy for a garage sale yesterday, and kept all the money. It's the SoCal version of Joe Momma putting your saddle on the lawn

They usually don't add the lost time back in until they close out the rotation. Just in case you get rerouted on the second rotation and end up at or above the original guarantee

All the money went to a purse purchase.

My STD is a particularly pesky one...it's the FAA strain.

Yeah those last monute runway changes are pretty fun to watch, particularly in the 88.

Oh and get well soon Buzz!

It's too bad (and really kinda hard to believe) that we even need to have these conversations about trying to get our representation to uphold the value of our profession. But it is what it is. I'm not going to let you or anyone else intimidate me from saying what I think.

I love having the new hires here (both here on APC and for real at Delta). They're great! I'm flying with one today. I think they are all more than capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time and can get their questions answered here during our discussion of "Any Latest & Greatest about Delta."
Nobody's intimidating you, for Pete's sake.... Ferd is one of the most neutral and rational voices here, and you're taking offense that he is trying to stop you from speaking your mind? Gimme a break. No one can control your perception except you. All that is being asked is to stick to topics, not people, and try to leave heavy emotional words out. It doesn't further a useful discussion.

If you are directing new hires here to get their "questions answered" via APC (or other public webboards) you're doing them a huge disservice. The amount of inaccurate and flawed commentary touted as "information" here can cause bigger problems for pilots on probation than for a line pilots who screws up using "well I read it on a webboard, I thought it was true" argument. They can't afford to get bad gouge.

New-hire pilots are much better served using:
  • Using their New Hire Mentors and the many resources at their disposal
  • 1-800-USA-ALPA for technical issues/questions on benefits/scheduling
  • 1-866-237-6633 for aeromedical issues
  • 1-800-388-1628 for Professional Standards issues
  • 1-877-888-0432 PBS Help Line for Monthly Bidding Questions
  • 1-877-325-2358 Pilot Support Center for HR/Company questions
  • Avoiding the "politics side" until they're off probation
We owe it to all these professional aviators to give them the best resources and opportunities so I hope you will encourage them to use the above info when they are in need of information.

Welcome to all new hires!! I am really glad we have you here at Delta.
