It should show any pre-award credit on your calendar for septber in PBS. Have you checked there? I would guess its a prorated portion of the ALV but that's just a guess.

As for a shadow, it is for bidding purposes only. Again it would show up on the calendar. Once the month starts it doesn't matter anymore. If they delay your training/OE it could end up dropping later trips but that doesn't have anything to do with the shadow.

Also keep in mind that you can't WS/swap/improve your sked through pcs until you complete OE...

Feel like a bonehead--thanks, see it now. Earlier I thought that was credit for training for some reason. Thanks. Good to know about the restriction on the sked through OE; thanks again.

I looked back at when I was NQAT earlier this year, looks like I got 2.4 per day. I think it was a 30 day month with the res guar of 72.

Thanks. Came out to 2.8925/day for me.

Exactly. Especially an airline that is heavily invested in the Yen....

This new version still does not make up for the old one. The 12hr conversiont to shortcall is really no different than 10. I mean really, when was the last time you were converted to SC with 10hrs notice? We know that most SC's are assigned by 12-2pm each day....and if one doesn't preference a later SC (10am, 11am, so on) and they get stuck with a 0630, this is where the 2hr uncontactable thing came in great handy for a commuter. Either way they spin the new rules....it is a loss for commuters, plain and simple.

And as someone said earlier, yes, I guess we have to up our game now, and be connected to dlnet while on a flight, or have my wife looking at my schedule every 10min for a trip while I commute.

Counter point well taken. I haven't commuted for several years and am not as up in the intricacies (apparently) as I should be. Touché. :D

Btw, THIS is exactly why the maker needs to be the presenter, or at least someone that was briefed by the maker. The room was by-and-large filled with non-commuters yesterday (probably at least 99%) who by default don't know the ins and outs of your concern. I completely agree with your concern, and support maintaining/improving commuter QOL but we clearly weren't able to come to that conclusion yesterday without a well-versed presenter in the room.

Further, HC made the point that they would have 100's of resolutions being emailed in if there wasn't a requirement to have a presenter...present. Not slamming you or the others that emailed resolutions (there were 2-3 in addition to yours) but the strong likelihood is that your resolution will probably fail without a presenter that can discuss past the first round of naysaying. I think this idea has merit and think it should be explored further. Just your add-on explanation in the quoted post above might have been enough to sway the room.

I just don't know how many times you need to refresh the page to get rid of the Subaru or Emirates ad! Sigh!

I think the internet is smart enough to place ads specifically to you based on your interests.

So, while your screen shows ads on how to use options, my screen has ads for viagra and hair replacement.

Good to know. I wonder how outfits like NetJets deal with home basing.

Pretty sure FAR 117 only applies to scheduled passenger carriers.

Also I didn't realize we didn't have the 2 hours to commute anymore as I haven't done RSV this year. So what exactly is the difference in someone taking 2 hours to get ready and drive to the airport or to be on a plane and land before the 2 hours is up?

Is there something that says now we must acknowledge within a certain time limit or call back or something? If not then why can't someone just commute in and acknowledge when they land?

Before the merger, i actually was discipined for this at Northwest. I lived a 3 hour drive from airport. I decided to catch a flight that left right when my reserve started as it was first flight of morning. I was scheduled to arrive an hour into my reserve period. Scheduling actually called me as I was boarding with a how soon can you get there call. I told them the truth. Said an hour and told them what flight I was on. They gave trip to someone else and gave me an unavailable. I commuted in anyway and the flight actually arrived 45 minutes into my reserve. I was in the chief pilots office 5 minutes later (50 minutes into my short call). Figured the chief pilots would agree with me and remove the unavailable. I was wrong. I was heavily scolded and told to never do that again. I made point that if I was driving, I would have arrived even later. They didn't care. They said driving is more reliable than flying. I lost all faith in the chief pilot office that day. Now I avoid it at all cost.

Yes, it seems the resolution didn't get very far. If the makeup of the room was all local, I don't doubt they didn't even know the rule was changed. I wonder though, if they knew HOW it was changed (according to c20's july newsletter) it may change some minds. These counterpoints may very well have changed some minds during the negotiating, but, well....I doubt any of us even knew it was on the chopping block.

I will make arrangements for the next meeting to be there to present and get this back to what it was.
