Let's say you are offered a GS at 10:00am with a voicemail and the wait "10 minutes" before they move on. Then someone else junior to you is given a different greenslip that you were never offered (which would have been preferred) at 10:05am. IOW, they skipped you because you were on the clock.

Any deal there or if they offer you one at 10:00 via voicemail, you are toast until 10:10 for the next one?

Anyone else hear there may be an announcement this Friday of a Hawaiian merger?

Warning: Your retirement party might turn into an APC reunion. If so, may I sit at the table with Carl, Tsquare, and Sailing?

Congrats again. I'm happy for you.
That would be "The Table". Thanks Newk

You used to be able to do this, but typically only on day 1 of a reserve stretch (due to LC not counting as rest) or on a rare day where you were coming off of required rest after a trip or 7 RSV days in a row.

I'd love to be shown wrong, but I don't see how it's possible anymore.

I don't see why you can not do this if a GS is a proffer - you have the option of saying "No" if you are not rested.

I agree that an "Assignment" with less than 10 hours is a thing of the past.

Timbo, Scambo and all ATL 777 pilots are already on the invite list. FTB, 80, Newk,Carl, Alpha, Sailing, Alan,Jughead,Bar,T,Jesse, et al. please consider yourselves invited. We are sending out a save the date around the 20th of Aug and then invites early Sept so people can bid around it. This will be RSVP due to the cost involved but we're planning on last minute arrivals. This party is with significant others and even RA is on the list so please don't be shy or worry that you won't know anyone. I have enjoyed all the conversations on the Latest and Greatest and figure this would be a great excuse to get together as many APCer's as possible. If you are interested please pm me your contact info and I will add you to my list.
The retiree's involved are; Ron Norris, Paul Faulkner, Marc Lugash, Gene Robinson, Warren Zatazalo and myself Ross Campbell. There are 3 others that are considering joining as of this time but not yet committed.

Congratulations - sounds like you guys will be setting a new "standard" for retirement parties!

RA said they have no need or interest in Hawaiian!

So that is bogus of course!

Congrats!! I'll try to make it as well- sounds like a heck of a throwdown. PM coming your way.

One of our own is about to make his last landing in a bit on the 330. Not sure if he wants me to out him or not, but congrats to him as well. I'll throw in a hint:

^^^^This - pilots are accepting GS's with less than 10 hours of notice all the time. Being on LC changes nothing in this case.
