The guy that started the recall thread is part of our little Facebook group. He had a chance to talk to Moak in the past couple days, and he completely changed his mind and retracted his feelings. Apparently it was a 45 minute long interview, and all the reporter lifted was those snippets. Shocker than a reporter would totally jack something up....

Me, too. Now where are they?

What is your take on Moak's Bloomberg interview? I'd hardly say his remarks qualify as "working to improve our contract."

My spidey sense tells me Moak is far too savvy a player to get rolled like that. That "misrepresented by a hostile reporter" story just seems like heavily refined (and highly predictable) damage-control spin.

To me, the stuff he said wasn't helpful to us in any context. It doesn't matter if he spent 30 seconds saying it; he should not have said that stuff at all.

Fascinating. Now you admit to the goofiness of trying to go after all 5,000 DPA members, but you're still interested in going after the leader. You advocate ALPA going after one guy, yet you decry DPA for going after one guy. As I've always said with you Bar, your outrage is selective and highly partisan.

The member is not trying to "kill" ALPA. The member is using the democratic process to see if Delta pilots can be given an opportunity to vote in a new union. If you think that action will "kill" ALPA, that says more about ALPA than anything else.

Also, ALPA has done nothing to reconcile. ALPA has done nothing but insult and demean. DALPA has funded a "special committee" devoted to destroy the DPA and has called all involved liars. Hardly an attempt at reconciliation Bar. This is why I think Tim is pushing this. You and the Special Committee have called Tim a liar and said he likely hacked his own website due to his incompetence. Evidence is starting to look uncomfortable for ALPA, yet Tim is only demanding that DALPA apologize. DALPA refuses and doubles down on the "liar" tactic with this latest "True Headings".

If I was ALPA's counsel, I would issue an apology and have the hacker issue an apology. It is my belief that would have ended this a long time ago, and would probably still end it today. But being an ALPA insider means never having to say you're sorry. It's still not too late, but my bet is that ALPA will just continue to dig in their heels.

You are agitating for the expulsion of nearly half of the pilot group. How on earth can you preach "unity" after that rant?
Bar does this from time to time. Too many White Russians in too short of time. He'll realize the clear hypocrisy soon and issue a retraction.

Whatever Moak said to him was enough to get him to do a complete about face on the subject.

I can't overcome Moak's outrageous comments until he goes back on the record with the Bloomberg guy to clean up the mess. If he truly was "misrepresented" then he ought to be doing everything he can to get the "real" version out there. Is he doing that?

Or at the very least, send out a letter to all of us apologizing for his catastrophic blunder....

Thanks--PM sent, but based on follow on answers I think I'm covered and I just need to monitor my time card over the next month. Shows "Shadow" in the reason report next to both the awarded trips (the first 4-day and the second 4-day that starts on the last day of the 5-day Shadow period).

I have the luxury of speaking honestly about all topics. I do just that. If you were being honest, you would also recall that you've called us every kind of name and accused us of everything evil.

Do what you want Bar, but you're a terrible spokesperson for unity and reconciliation. You're good with other topics, but a huge fail on this one.
