Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
The end of the month, as that reflects 1/2 of the reserve guarantee for that month at the pilot's rate of pay.

An appropriate response would have been a motion to quash. ALPA has an exposure, but it is not to the DPA. ALPA might be exposed to the member that they will be (if DPA's reports are correct) be forced to identify.
ALPA probably had no duty to defend a member for what amounted to a very small prank which was done on that person's own time and which was not directed by ALPA itself. ALPA had the right instinct, to defend a member from a mean-spirited cabal of knuckleheads taking up collections for the mere satisfaction of seeing another pilot's head on a stick. But, now ALPA is involved in something it should never have been involved in.
I am wondering when we stop tolerating some Delta pilots taking up collections to sue other Delta pilots with no damages and no clear goal other than harassment. And if this lawsuit is really about the DPA's rights to a vote, then why have we not granted the DPA leadership's wish to leave ALPA by processing a membership resolution to boot the whole lot of them? I will be happy to vote in favor of expulsion and when they seek resolution, they are welcome to come back in with my support. But, as long as their goal is to destroy ALPA and harm ALPA members it is my impulse that they do not deserve the privilege of membership.
I would prefer the DPA guys get their heads straight and join the rest of the Delta pilots and I'll be the first to serve cake and ice cream if they want to participate, but if they just want to cause trouble for other Delta pilots, then let them do so from outside the circle.

You are agitating for the expulsion of nearly half of the pilot group. How on earth can you preach "unity" after that rant?

Contract question:
If you have a trip (4 day in this case) on your monthly bid award that starts on the same day as your last Shadow day do you get credit for just that day or the entire trip?
My Sep schedule had a 4-day starting on the last shadow day. The trip has been removed from my schedule, and from what I can tell I'm only being credited on my Sep time card for the first day of that dropped rotation. What was showing on my line for the Sep Bid Award of an 80 hr line now shows as a 66 hr line on the iCrew time card.
There aren't a lot of options for picking up a trip on the days that were removed from my original schedule either.
Calling ALPA tomorrow, but would appreciate an informed opinion in the meantime.
(I read the PWA and I didn't see this scenario covered. From what I read it would seem to me the entire dropped trip should be credited, but that could be interpreted differently IMO.)

Watch it carefully, though. They got mine wrong last year, costing me many many hours. It took ALPA's intervention to restore those hours.
The end of the month in which you convert. Assuming that you convert to your new position on August 31, your September 30 paycheck will be for 1/2 of the reserve guarantee in your new category at that new category's pay rate.
