What rumor is that?

That 4 744's to be parked 30 Sep might not all get parked. Rumored to be renegotiated leases sweetening for Boeing side of RFP

Here is a dot in the RFP timeline:
Virgin Atlantic identifies first routes for 787-9 - 6/23/2014 - Flight Global
Virgin Atlantic is to deploy its first Boeing 787-9 on the Boston route from London Heathrow, operating the service six times per week from 28 October.

The airline operates Airbus A330s and A340s on the route, which it serves in partnership with shareholder Delta Air Lines.
What Virgin Atlantic airplanes will the 789 replace?

Apropos Deny NAI:
Norwegian and Virgin seal 787 pilot training pact - 5/13/2013 - Flight Global
Virgin will make all its training material available to Norwegian, which will take delivery of its first 787 at the end of June.

In return Virgin instructors will receive 787 training on board the Norwegian fleet. Virgin Atlantic receives its first 787 in September 2014.
Cheers
George

GTFO it already! It's time to move on! Where's Jerry with more rumors?!?!?!?!
When people make claims that aren't true, it's important to correct the record. If you don't care, don't read.

Hey I have to defend Carl here. I think that he was correcting several misrepresentations. For starters it was well known that the NWA/Republic fence was 20 years. I'm not sure where the 18 year assertion came from.

So that's why it was announced after the pilot bid closed and not before?
