Any of you crazies have the GoPro Hero 3+ silver or black? Any feedback on if the black is worth the extra 130 bucks? I got a silver at the eglin bx for 270 today... wondering if there is that stark of a difference between the two for the price difference.

T... the whole point of alllll this ALV+15 back and forth was that the number of guys who actually fly >ALV, up towards 99, is MEANINGLESS, and is NOT the benefit the company wanted. It's the ABILITY to push guys that high rarely if needed that removes a constraint and allows the company to accept lower winter-level manning.

The go-pro technology rapidly improves with every annual update. I always get the latest and greatest myself, and mostly for the low light capability. With that comes a steeper price, and a million features I will never use.

Not sure if that helps... Most of the amazing picture quality gets dumbed down via editing and uploading to youtube. Otherwise it takes forever.

Any word on another AE, aren't we due soon? I'm all done with the skeds in SLC 320, getting anxious for a change.

The fact that senior guys can now make out well on reserve (and thus bid it) has nothing to do whatever with the fact there was a concession that cost pilot jobs. Either you are much much less intelligent than I have been led to believe from your writing, OR... you are knowingly trying to guide attention away from this and misguide folks with your unending parroting of "Very few folks have been flying to 99 hours, so therefore it wasn't a concession!".

Again, I'll play and jump in to remind you, and all the others reading this that you're trying to misguide and bamboozle, the concession wasn't how many folks ACTUALLY end up flying 99 hours... it's the fact the company can staff for that uncommon summer weekend/irop need now with much fewer pilots.

Well, I have to say-- there's sure a lot of decent folks on this forum. Whether I disagree with some or not, a lot of intelligent points and concerned citizens.

Some weeks this place is a complete cesspit... But at least the last couple days I've learned some things, and been given many things to ponder. There are a zillion facets to each part of our jobs, and different guys have seen sides of things I haven't--thanks for your viewpoints.

I'm left feeling optimistic, a rare sensation after reading here! ;) Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, flying or not!

If you're having to work this holiday weekend, and in the ATL, maybe go check out Dragon Con, which is at the Hyatt/Marriott/Hilton downtown, so a very short walk ;)
Apparently it's the #1 costuming con, lots of military sci-fi and fantasy, and you can see chics dressed up as warrior-angels in bikinis and stuff.
