Not to worry, we'll offer them an out of seniority early retirement so that the junior guys don't get bumped....

I am expecting the same when half the 757 fleet is retired.

How long did the last one take? It was bigger and was out in two days, I think.
The last one had the 747 problem associated with it which delayed it a bit. Took a few days. This one is (hopefully) more straight forward. But I agree - probably tomorrow.

Its usually the day following the closing of the bid.

I think it took longer last time because of the 747 parking.

You think a quarter dozen or so Virgin widebody tails over at Concourses E & F in Atlanta might have senior Delta pilots reconsidering their positions on scope next year?

Well, there is still Africa, I guess.

Scope is Section ONE of our contract for a reason. Without a solid clause, you've got a handful of sand. I understand not wanting to spend ALL of our capital on that section, but if that's what it took to protect our flying, then it would be worth every chit. It all starts and ends there. I hope everyone considers that when doing the survey.

Exactly. I'm still trying to understand the DPA argument that DALPA has an interest in not securing the best pay and benefits for its members.

However, there's Herndon. Their motivations are quite different.

Those would be accurate statements If not for one significant fact.

No one at Herndon is compensated on the level we are on the line. They are all well above, including many on the clerical staff.

IF, no national union officer made more than the highest ALPA paid air carrier line pilot rates for the seat they hold or the equivalent plus 10%, then a true hypothesis.

When their compensation and benefits are aligned and similar to ours, ours will progress at a better rate.

Simple fact.

Hi everyone. Any current Delta guys have a minute to send me a PM? I have a couple career questions I'd like to ask. Thanks!
