The problem I have with the ADG is that the 30hr layover on the trip still has no value if you average over 5:15 on the other days. It just takes another day away from home to earn it. We need some type of calander day minimum to make that time have a value.

Every one's got to find their own path wrt gs's. I do know that every time I want do some thing nice (or even amazing) for my family, some one is insisting that I pay them money for it. ;)

While I missed the 5dy pvr trip (:(), we had three amazing vacay's this year... due in no small part to the 12dy greenie.

As far as my now 13yo appreciating that I was around for when she was a toddler... she doesn't remember a thing that we did during that time in her life (maybe I'm not very memorable!)... But I certainly have great memories (until my alzheimer's kicks in!).

That is a beautiful thing, and in my view, the best part of flying a GS -- it lets you take tons more time off elsewhere and still earn the same amount of $$$.

Exactly. If I get 20 hours of GS pay one month, I fly less the next month. My goal is to fly the GS pay trigger as a max each month, but get paid around 90 hours.

Is per diem on 1day trips taxable income?

I believe, if there is no layover involved, it is taxable.
