Jughead, will I hear "Go Dawgs" as I walk them around? I may just let them go to the free candy van on their own if that's the case.

In my life there are two holidays that are mandatory to work. First is always Thanksgiving. That holiday sucks. You have a bunch of people who you really don't want in your house bring all their kids over then you eat junk food until you feel like puking. Not my idea of fun.
Second is New Years. I just don't get that holiday, biggest waste of time ever. So I'll bid them off then GS both of those if I can. I'll make however many thousands of dollars and take the family on a Disney Cruise sometime in the year when flights are good. Way better than staying home for those two holidays and the kids will remember a cool vacation way more than me being home for a couple of stupid holidays. Now Christmas and Halloween are cool for kids so I do whatever it takes to be home for those....and Birthdays. Everybody has different values on what days are important to them. |
maybe with the new ADG the 30 hours will go away because we'll start replacing the middle of the day RJ service with mainline?

What airline is DS on our non-rev list and how do they qualify for S2 passes? I thought S2's were were only for active DAL employees and their direct families?

Next question…what is "Qualified" mean on Open Time?

Thanks for the reply! I was just looking to see if I could free up a day on the calendar by swapping trips, not dropping any. You pretty much summed up what I thought, so thanks for confirming it for me. I'll mess around with it a bit and see what I can do. The PCS gouge was not very helpful!

You would be amazed how much something as little as trick or treating means to a toddler. Where do you draw the line? Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries? Serious question. Do you live to work or work to live? I work to live. Days off are just too precious especially with young kids. Now when the kids are older and in college my attitude might change. Certain things in life are priceless. That means that I wouldn't trade those moments for any amount of money. I am obviously in the minority. I probably fly less than the majority of the pilots at this company.

You can white slip it, but not swap with the pot because it's not actually in the pot.
