It's worth the time to put one in because you never know. I was on 2nd year pay, very junior lineholder and got a GSWC for a 3-day that dropped a 4-day. Probably the only one I'll ever get, but when they get that far down the coverage ladder they don't have many options and they don't always go senior.

Seems to me that both North and South guys have a frozen pension. The primary difference seems to be the party that funds each one.

If you are referring to the PBGC for the south guys, I wouldn't tie your pony to that post, considering the amount of red ink they're producing.

Agreed. And we all saw how the pension fared when Delta was supposed to be funding it.

I always advise people that life is too short and you can't get the time back. Greenslips are just not worth it.

I tell them that in the hopes the greenslips will get to my seniority.

$10,000 to miss trick or treating? Please. For $10,000 I'd dress up like Mr. Monopoly and pelt my kids with Mars Bars and Kandy Korn on my way to the airport.

Nobody on their death beds wishes they had more time to trick or treat. They want more booze, chicks and rock music. That takes money and the best way to get that money is greenslips.

What airline is DS on our non-rev list and how do they qualify for S2 passes? I thought S2's were were only for active DAL employees and their direct families?

Scoop:confused:

I thought it was just straight pay on the new trip and pay for the second. So you're double paid, in a sense, for going to work but not triple paid. Let me go look, could be wrong.

Can we have some discussion about what you guys think of the Nov bidpacks? With 5:15 ADG in place, some significant changes to CARMN programming for our trips took place to ensure low credit for Delta. Wondering how things look in the other cats?

For 73N, I'm seeing a LOT of 8:45 days on the last day of 3 days, and a lot of 3 legs on first and last days via 1.5hr turns.

I'm ALSO seeing the standard trickiness of Delta in meeting the letter of the law while helping themselves... I see a LOT of "2 day" trips reporting at 0003 and finishing at 23:59, for 10:30 pay. Essentially a 4 day trip for 53% of the airline (commuters).

Lastly, I'm seeing a lot of longer legs combined together that we never used to do, such as MSP > ATL > LAX/SLC , for 8:30ish block, but with 0600 takeoffs and 2-3 hour sits in the turn airport. Even JFK>LAS>SLC/LAX/SEA which used to have 41 min turns now have 3 hour sits in LAS.

None of the trips my bid filtering for commutable make me ANY more $$ than they used to do, but it looks like I'll be working a lot harder now for that 5:15 ADG we "won". Not a fan of the initial bidpack results.

Could be unintended consequences of the ADG, the company still learning to work with the ADG, or the company increasing the suck factor in order to encourage trades like SDP's (for example) in the next contract, or a combination thereof.

I don't think the company has a vested interest in making part 117 favorable to us as we start to negotiate.
