Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I'm hoping December was an anomaly since there were only 20 lines. Looking at ATL 717 trips, most are 4 days and hopefully NYC resolves to something like that pretty fast. It would be a total downer for a base with terrible winter weather and 80% commuters to feature mostly 1-day uncommutable trips.

IMO, the shuttle operation is what will drive the schedules, as the product will have better logistics without crews flying in to perform the flying. I am told, back in the day, the crews loved the shuttle because they were home a lot at night and no layovers. Of course, everyone lived there, so…..

Maybe I am wrong, but my guess is that December will not be as "anomalyish" as people hope.

I was just awarded DTW 320B on the AE, coming up from ATL 320B. Does anybody know how long it usually takes to actually be based there? January? Or am I dreaming? (I'm a newhire, still in the simulator).

I had the same thing as you except on the -88 and in NYC. I ended up having one month based in ATL before converting to NYC. It seems they convert simple base swaps relatively quickly. I would go talk to your OE planner ASAP and request IOE from DTW. I did that in NYC and ended up commuting to ATL only for two trips before I started in NYC.

Thanks, Marcal! I already requested DTW for OE; not sure if that will transpire, but glad to hear I may not have to commute for too long.

speaking of healthcare, do any of you folks get your prescription drugs at the Costco Pharmacy? I've been told that in some locales you don't need a Costco Membership to visit the Pharmacy to fill your prescriptions. Since Costco has lower markups than "High Street" pharmacies does this offer greater value if you select a HSA plan?

DELTA has closed reservation for Amsterdam – Mumbai service, for travel on/after 28MAR15. The Skyteam member currently operates this route once a day, and planned to be operated by 767-300ER from 29MAR15.

I asked them this specific question. They said to include the tickets in both secitons. I got the interview and the job.
