LAX 73nB no movement except for 3 newbs in at the bottom.

SLC 73nB only got one additional guy, that's about 45 unfilled postings now. Wish some of those spots would start showing up filled with new guys on the monthly category lists, but it's been 5 months now and they're not actually assigning in guys or increasing the category... it was just a bogus taunt, again.

There were several senior FOs who made Capt, but they were only backfilled +1; still, good news!

Awesome to see 2007 guys make Capt in NYC, hope they knew what they were getting into.

I wouldn't get too excited about layovers, 95% were day turns, non-commutable and a "birdy" told me to expect more of the same. Hopefully not true

New categories always have bad trips and weird schedules. A few months and the trips probably improve a lot.

Probably because they need bodies more for NYC. If they ever catch up we'll see them fill the slots with newbies.

I'm hoping December was an anomaly since there were only 20 lines. Looking at ATL 717 trips, most are 4 days and hopefully NYC resolves to something like that pretty fast. It would be a total downer for a base with terrible winter weather and 80% commuters to feature mostly 1-day uncommutable trips.

You need to remember that a lions share of the flying of the NYC 717 is going to be shuttle, so there will be a good many 1 day trips. They are going to get "see America" trips but I wouldn't imagine it's going to be in the next couple of months.

Why do you think the category went so junior. Once it stabilizes more senior guys will be bidding the category, which is another reason to hold off for a little bit. I don't know how many times I've heard guys complain about being a reserve guy when they jumped on the first bid and could hold a line only to get bumped back on every bid after that.

Here is a little bit of trivia for you guys. Marking the regular line holder only box on a bid does not guarantee you a line all year round. Because we have seasonal high times and down times you may only get a line during the summer months.

If someone doesn't mind would you post how the SLC 320 slots look on the AE awar.? I am a Delta poolie and am hoping for SLC. It looks like the 737 might be my best shot but I am curious about the 320 as well. Thanks.

I'll go ahead and eat my words that 717A wouldn't break 10k. Wow!

320 looks like an August hire and 737 a November hire

Quick question about the surface tablet...is Windows RT capable of making Remote Desktop connections? I use a VPS for my business and I am tired of carrying my laptop and an IPad every trip...not to mention that now I'll be carrying a third device with the surface. I haven't received mine yet and am curious about RDC capability.

It might not be a good idea to do anything like this on a Delta owned device anyway. If I like the surface, I might need to hire Bucking Bar to buy me a surface 3 with his "extreme couponing/price matching wizardry" to eliminate the need for my laptop and make room for my surface.

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving to an incredible group of people I am proud and thankful to be a part of!

Not you guys, I'm talking about other people. I kid, I kid.

If they have unfilled bids - which it appears both SLC and LAX had - they will start offering these seats to new-hires.

Keep in mind some guys who are probably seat locked on other equipment (88, 717 etc) may bid out west as soon as their seat locks are up, so it is not a guarantee for new hires but it is looking pretty darn good.
