I've offered mea culpas before, and I'll do it again if PS remains intact or improved.

I expect you, Oberon, sailingfun, shiznit, et all to do the same if DALPA brings us a TA with reduced profit sharing or some other unforeseen concession.

Just to clarify, you're opposed to any concessions. Is that correct?

What if they totally eliminate PS for a 40% pay raise on DOS?

I'm still struggling to explain this because my English is not very good, but, I do not mind DALPA talking about exchanging PS for pay. I don't. What I want to know is what is the exchange rate of $1 likely PS dollar vs a guaranteed dollar? Because there is no way the company will agree to a 1:1.

We're gambling either way, we should be given all the info when this TA drops to make as good a bet as we can IF they do indeed want to trade PS for GM (guaranteed money).

I don't have a question but I do want to ask you guys something. I was once on the NC at another airline but I left after my helicopter got shot down by an RPG during Hurricane Katrina... damn you Brian Williams, you were the only one at NBC I liked.

Anyways, doesn't the MEC dictate to the NC what to do? If there is 1 guy that wants to trade PS for GM, what's wrong with hearing about it now in full? Why wait until an entire TA is negotiated and dropped in our laps with a sales pitch and a demand to sign it or face the consequences?

You have my word on that.

Looking forward to it.

For me the problem is that pilots like this speak from both sides of their mouth.

First they attack me for telling the truth because they want the line pilots in the dark. Like they did with CDOs.

They after its true, they make excuses and empty threats to force us into voting yes.

If we reducing profit sharing, Sailing will be selling it hard as a win. Like he invented it.

Please don't shoot the messenger...just passing along info. Had a JSer Schoolhouse/line type this past trip. Was leaving a meeting at the training dept where RA spoke. He passed that RA said "profit sharing won't be touched".

Just what I was told. We shall see.....

Look, I like and respect our CEO but, he wasn't here to do the merger either. I don't know if profit sharing is one of those things where they have to keep the public party line separate from the private one.

On a unrelated note to the profit sharing hysteria does anyone have the UAL 757 payrate. Americans rate is 7% above our rate. The general employee raise on 1 APR should trigger a comparison of our 757 rate to the average of UAL and American. We may be due a small raise 1 APR and will for sure be due a raise next APR if we have not completed the contract and the company awards a annual raise. We are at 226 now and AMR is 242. If the average of UAL and AMR is more then 226 we are due a raise as I read the contract.

We may have caught a lucky break with this flight attendant union vote. They are in "status quo" and their profit sharing cannot be taken like last time. If we were to reduce, it would cause a stuff storm with the FAs.
