It should be that way. It's crazy that a guy willing to fly at straight time to add credit time can't do so out of base. If in-base guys don't want it, it should go to OOB guys who do.

Interesting post from our Union official D Mantooth. You know, the guy that "was there." It's intersting that this Union official would hurl these shots at another member, but he's a paragon of virtue by writing this?:

Isn't it comforting to know we have such men in our Union leadership?

What about if we negotiated an additonal APD to make 2 a year?

How about a Call in Honest to the CP for a drop?

How about a trip in open time picked up within 24 hrs of report pays 1.5x or 2x or something similar to the swa system?

Sounds like you handled yourself great. But I'm curious whether they paid you for this "interview"? I don't mind cooperating on investigations for free, but other than that, I would need a day of pay to come in and discuss anything outside of a specific investigative need.

That is not how the SWA system works. It is basically the same as our system. Trips at straight rates are processed first. Difference here is no cap on pickups. We don't want that at Delta! Remaining trips go to overtime volunteers at 1.5 pay. We get double at Delta. Any trips left are assigned at double pay. That part is the same as Delta. Management would be ecstatic if we offered up the SWA system!

...actually a bunch of people pick up to near FARs routinely with drop/swap multiple people groups. Cap should be the same for all types of pick up. Needs to be fixed. OFG

If the swa system is the same as our system, why would management be ecstatic? Anyway, I didn't say "the swa system" except to reference premium pay for picking up trips. You also inferred that I meant there had to be some minimum amount of flying done to get the premium pay...I didn't say that either.

My response was in reference to someone who was trying an angle on mitigating sick leave usage/company concern over productivity.

I am totally against out of base swaps btw to mitigate anything.
