why, well thats easy, because leaving that much money in someone elses hands for over a year and only if they dont figure out a way to lose it is a bad thing. do the contract first and give us the raises then move a bunch of ps to even higher rates

The company is not about to eliminate profit dramatically while our industry counterparts bring in record profits. The stock price would get a kick in the pants and we all know how investment grade we want to be.

No way the company goes in the tank just to reduce profit sharing.

Hey guys, which aircraft has the most commutable lines out of NY and ATL? Or is it just anyone's guess?
With a little seniority, the 7er out of NYC looked fairly commutable as well.

Awesome, thank you for the info!
That would literally be the definition of cutting one's nose to spite their face. Right now, as it stands, the company has to give away a 20% of every dollar made above $2.5 billion. When considering the amount of profit the company is forecast to make over the next 2-3 years, dragging out this negotiation puts nothing but money in our pocket while management drags their feet.

So essentially we can either make strides in compensation or profit sharing, but not both. The rumored agreement doesn't even come close to making strides in either.
They'd love that so much more than you demanding 36k more a year and ps % unchanged.
