Another quick question, I'm on Mil leave this month and return next month. My May's schedule is posted in Icrew, but it doesn't download in Icrew max. Any solutions? Thanks!

Can someone explain RLL to me please in basic chapter-and-verse-hold-my-hand-like-a-small-child. I tried reading the contract but then my eyes crossed and I had an aneurism and now I'm out sick on a job action.
Does it basically let PBS build you a line below the LCW? |

Does it basically let PBS build you a line below the LCW? Not sure about how it effects what PBS will or won't do (i.e. I don't think it will shortchange you on a line), but the RLL=Reserve Lower Limit as I understand it is the person in each category and above which, are guaranteed a line for the month if requested during a bid. If below the RLL you have to wait and see what is left over from the line holders above to see if PBS is able to construct a line for you that meets the LCW. Much of that depends on who above you in seniority requests reserve etc to see how much is left in open time to build lines. |

It happened as part of LOA46 under threat of a bankruptcy filing. NWA had their own PBS system when we merged. They were different programs.

It was a manning concession given up in bankruptcy, and it is still in place today. It cost us at least 20% of our jobs, up and down the entire staffing list, as we are all now flying on average, 90 hours per month, vs 75 hours per month under line of time bidding.

Much of that depends on who above you in seniority requests reserve etc to see how much is left in open time to build lines. RLL is reduced lower limit line. It basically means you are willing to have a line of time built which isnt within the line construction window. You are unblockable within your parameters, but dont want to be on reserve. RLL can be as low as zero credit hours up to (depends on category) somewhere in the 60's credit hrs. You used to be able to bid it easily. I used to bid it almost every month when we could. Now you have to be both unblockable and put it in as a quasi bid group. I say as a quasi bid group because, if, in your regular line bid, you use else start next bid group, it will not allow you to have an RLL bid. Pbs will make you delete the RLL bid so else start next bid group jumps straight to reserve. |
I think I was incorrectly given my reserve schedule next month. The reasons report wasn't helpful, but somebody jr. to me got days off that I had requested. I always allow for the possibility that I shot myself in the foot and all the pain is self induced, but in this case I am at a loss to figure out how and why.
I plan to do a PBS inquiry and call ALPA, but with it being the weekend I'm not sure what traction I'll be able to get. Are there any immediate actions I can take or people I can call to figure this out? If I'm correct and days were incorrectly awarded will the company go back and fix my schedule? Thanks |
