PBS question. If I bid a specific rotation and later in the bid put in a avoid that would filter that trip would it filter it or award the trip and filter other ones?

I believe you should be awarded the specific rotation if it is available to you. The avoids should only affect trips or preferences below the avoids.

Yeah I hear you. They tell you who to call before/after sign in during the second to the last brief of indoc with Mr. "Manager of Probation and Mentors" all dressed up in the "proper Delta uniform."

Lol
Btw I routinely call to check in. I don't always go to the crew room.

I used to call to sign in, but lately it takes FOREVER to get a scheduler.

I just wait for them to call now and kindly let them know I'm at the airport.

I do it all the time when I bid for a specific red-eye but further below I put a general avoid red-eyes to avoid other trips - works great.

Talking contract in the crew lounge before sign-in last week. Checked my schedule to see if I got a swap I put in. Nope, grumble... grumble. Hey haven't seen you in a while where you going.... Blah, blah, blah. Gotta go airplane's pulling in see ya later. Moments later. Delta scheds ringtone on my phone (AC/DC Highway to Hell)... what?, no I'm at the gate watching the flight deplane... Oh I'm sorry, thanks. No harm, no foul, forgot to sign-in.

Beats standing in line hoping to find my good pen to show off.

Pretty much required to hit the lounge for sign-in, otherwise I'll be stuck asking 10 different gate agents for the door codes.

Once. Then I'll send you to the lounge to print out a rotation.

Bad move. Now we're late. Restroom, food, call home, then print schedule if I can find a printer that works. I'm not really motivated to run around on my 40 minutes turn with a plane change, but that's probably just me.

Oops, internal voice keeps getting out.

No problem. We're late, we're late. Just put it down as waiting on FO to get his shizzle together. ;)
