forgot to bid 12-02-2009 07:13 AM

A) You think those flight attendants in the 60s pictures are hot? Great, go tell them yourself, they're still here. :D

A1) Look how nice an interior looks with no overhead bins!

B) Just saw where Boeing is AIMING to have the 787 fly December 22nd, WITH the 748 flying the same day. "TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC... UH-OH, OH THE HUMANITY!" http://www.atwonline.com/news/other....=12%2F2%2F2009

C) I've got to go catch the van. I was on an overnight ACL, thats the only way I could have tinkered with those numbers and still sleep. At home I stay up late but still get up with the baby. I think I noticed on the numbers that at least on the 88B ATL that around 43%ish in category you can have Xmas off while holding a line but I forgot what it took to get it off on reserve. It was like in the 70th percentile I believe. Anyways, it'd be good when % to know what the benchmarks are for certain things like holidays off, weekends off, etc. But I'm beat.

That is the way it works. My son could be jumping on her, and she would not even budge. I never thought I was a light sleeper until I had a kid. I go to work to sleep. I am sure the CA's think I am dull, but sleeping is the best thing to do on an overnight.

Got a line this month, so I guess I will have to go fly tomorrow. Oh well ;)

I would love to see both fly on the same day. It would be a feat!

So we will have 27 days to chew on the possibilities before it closes? I can't believe that Marketing and/or crew resources would give THAT much lead time before the thing chas to close. I don't think there has ever been any time other than the required minimum time from announcement to closing. I could be wrong.

Roll Tide.

If PBS builds you a line under the GS trigger, which I think is 75 hours every month now, and you get a GS you won't get double pay for the hours that take you to 75. You need to have some in the bank to bring it up to 75 so you can get the double pay for the whole thing. I learned that the hard way and always have 10 hours in there to bring me up to to the GS trigger.

You can also fill the bank up if you are expecting a big raise and pull it out when you get the raise. I did this when I was on first year pay and pulled it out on 2nd year pay. The only problem with pulling out your hours is you cannot pull them out all at once. I think you can only pull out enough to bring you up to 82 hours or the ALV + 5. So if you fill it up to 60 it takes some low time months to get the hours pulled out.

I think that the bank is something we should "give up" for those of you who think we need to give stuff up. That and the hat.

And to add on here a little, if you think you will be getting displaced to lower paying equipment, you want to go negative since you will be taking out the time at your current rate, but putting it back at a lower one. (Thanks for the reminder BTW) :o

Now that is funny...and sad... It wouldn't be nearly as funny if it weren't true.

I overheard a discussion on the crew bus the other day, one gal was complaining that on her last trip (not sure where she was headed) but she was the junior FA with 32 years of service, and she was junior by a lot.

Wasn't there something in the PWA that if the AE comes out before SOC announced that it isn't really a joint bid?

PinnacleFO 12-02-2009 08:18 AM

For those of us who are wondering why they are asking people to update their applications, is this bid that you have coming out this week going to be a tell tale answer of what to expect in 2010?
