Yup. The email said 1,500 early orders and they were gone in less than an hour.

What are the odds that it was a screw up and the early-order window didn't actually happen. :rolleyes:

Also I think it says "don't swap seat with a member of your family, in flight" I don't think there is any issue if you switch before departure.

My guess is that the Delta IT mainframe melted down after more than 15 pilots tried to apply online at the same time....

One possible upside is that if you pull a knucklehead move and forget to call in well, AND the scheduler does not give you a courtesy call to inquire your status, you don't commute in just to find out that the schedulers assigned your trip to a reserve. What is monitoring status? If you are out for two weeks does the company start to watch you more or investigate you?

It's seat swapping with a revenue passenger that is prohibited. Unless something has changed, seat swapping by non revs is up to the FA. But I agree, there is nothing Ferrero Rocher can't buy you.

Also, if he is single, he should be able to bump his mom to S2 as well.

Yep, about 10 minutes after the email went out, every time I tried to log on, I got a message that they were doing scheduled maintenance on the site. I thought it was an odd time to schedule maintenance😏...
