There is a rumor floating around about us becoming a max customer in the future. I hope to god it is false. Not just cause of the whole mcas thing although that is very high on the list, but because there is already a capable aircraft in the 321neo on order. The max is a pos, still has the recall system, no eicas, still the same overhead panel, and it’s capable If even longer missions than the 737-800. So uncomfortable. the only scenario I can think of is ordering some in the future to replace the 737-800 in 5-7 years or so, but I hope to god no!!!!

Couldn't agree more. Lipstick on a pig. My guess if it's true, it's only because they're getting a smoking hot deal and/or they're trying to help Boeing out because they want the 797 to come to fruition. Or they'll use them as leverage to trade up for some 787s so they'll make happy the guys with an odd lover affair with the 78.

It seems to be an unsubstantiated rumor that comes from conjecture that this would be a time to get a good deal on them. I would expect us to order more NGs before we got the MAX. Regardless, I would be surprised if any airline would announce a max order while the fleet is grounded.

Delta is in love with the 737 dispatch reliability (other customers' Max difficulties aside). I don't know if the 321NEO will be better, but apparently the 320s can't hold a candle to the 737. I'll operate whatever Delta wants to pay me industry-leading compensation to fly. I suspect customers prefer riding in an Airbus, but they definitely prefer being early over delaying or canceling for maintenance.

99% of pax couldn’t tell the difference between a Boeing an Airbus or a Tupolev.

They can however tell the difference between a 99 dollar fare and a 98 dollar fare.

Is anyone else not getting a text message along with an ARCOS app notification? It's easy to miss a single "ding."

The ARCOS guide has some nebulous but incomplete information on the last page -- filled with poor grammar and authored by someone who doesn't quite have a full command of the English language.
