Interesting...

I thinking at this point, being able to stream Netflix etc. is a lost cause for the time being. In some areas Viasat does have a generation 2 system that might work.....but in my area they have generation 1...... When I talked to a customer service agent, he said it should be upgraded to gen 2 in the next few months but I'll believe it when I see it...

I think for the time being I might get a dedicated hotspot thru my phone plan for internet surfing, email and shopping and wait and see what happens for awhile.

Whatever you do, do NOT use HughesNet. It sucks so badly I can't describe it.

That's what I've heard. I don't believe Viasat would be much better... This is why I'm thinking, at least initially, I will go with a dedicated phone Hotspot and give up on the streaming side of things. I can get Directv service. Just no high speed internet.

One of my kids had Viasat for a day, unsat.

Ask the neighbors what they use. My Delta friend who lives too far from DSL or cable found a small local company that uses small wireless links between houses to provide internet. I'v been to his house and the internet seems speedy enough.

Not a quick solution, but check with your state’s Dept of Agriculture, too. I know at least my state is lobbying hard to get high speed internet in all the rural areas to help farmers and rural folk compete with the big city folk. Additional support can’t hurt.

So GA gov says no mask mandates and prohibits counties or towns from enforcing any sort of mandate as well.

How does this affect Delta, or does it?

seems like on campus it is a private company they can do what they want.

onboard aircraft, GA gov has no authority. ?

inside the ATL airport terminals.....that probably falls squarely inside the gov authority.

I’d say in the terminal delta has no authority (over customers). On the planes though they can make it a condition of carriage. Just like Costco saying you can’t come in without a mask. The aircraft are owned by delta. The wearing of a mask is as enforceable by them has wearing a shirt and pants. I hate it, but i think it’s within the realm of their control.

why do you hate delta for following cdc guidelines? I’m confused.

im also sooo confused how the mask became political and furthermore how people don’t even bother to understand why the cdc asks you to wear one. Pretty childish really, to fight putting a cloth cover over you mouth so you can reduce the immediate RA build up around your face. The RA is forced out the side and into your clothes and hair. No one of consequence ever said it will prevent you from getting it. Is this really that hard to comprehend?
