Yeah, the good stuff is of the type that we cannot talk about. It will all be known by the holidays next month. Well, that is the plan today, and subject to change on Monday.... ;)

What is the charge if any for DAL non rev baggage? I can't seem to get a definative answer from India Res.

I know the AE bid period closes at 1400 today, but does anyone know when AE assignments/bidded positions will be posted.

Could we expect these relatively soon after the bid window closes or will it take a few days/weeks?

Few days max. I would guess NLT than Wed. Probably Tues.

Hey guys, I have a question about your new pay scale...my apologies if anyone has already asked this. But why the difference in pay between the 737NG and A319/320 and the MD 88/90?

80ktsClamp 11-30-2008 08:35 AM

Because that was what was negotiated is the most simple answer.

Probably posturing for the SLI- I would imagine at the next contract you'll see the payrates simplified.

Delta pay rates are loosely based on the size, range and efficiency of each aircraft type. I say loosely because different rates were negotiated in different economic times and under various side letters. We used to also have different rates for the various versions of the 767 and 757 however in the 01 contract the company offered the same base raise for the 767-300ER as the other aircraft got and then a additional raise to the other versions to bring them all to one rate. Lots of controversy over that one however the bottom line was that the company offered the rate increases on the smaller versions and its hard to turn down raises you did not ask for.

Interesting...thanx for the quick responses.

AE Stupid Question

I have a question about how the AE runs or is executed. Let's assume we are looking at 4 pilots in the seniority list. To make it simple, we will call them Pilots 1-4. Their actual seniority numbers aren't 1-4 though ... there are various people in between them with no bids.

Current Position Position Bidding
1. ATL767B ATL777B
2. ATLMD88B ATL767B
3. ATL767B ATL767A
4. ATLMD88B ATL767B

Ok, Pilot 1 wants the 777, but does not get it. So he remains on the 767B.
Pilot 2, wanted the ATL767B, but since no positions opened up above him, he stays in the ATLMD88.
Pilot 3 bids for Capt, and he gets it.

Now, since there is an ATL767B opening (pilot 3's slot) ... does the bidding system go back to Pilot 2 and award him the 767B since he is senior, or does it go to Pilot 4?

Thanks ..

-Fatty
