I understand that. They know that, and are working a very fine line right now. They are trying to balance a few things. Our staffing or lack there of is the result of that.
With the future cuts, I know we still need about 120-150 more pilots, but I do not think it is to comply with the MIN staffing formula. I do think that they have some wiggle room on that one. I will check though. |
AE Results Are Out
The results are out. Positions were backfilled and there were several displacements. The projected category list wasn't posted yet, but a little patience with the bid results and you can calculate the net effect on your position within your category.

International Captain went junior in most seats except Atlanta 767-400 where no back filling occurred and NYC 777 where it only went down to 86 hires. ATL 777 went very junior as well as 7ER Captain. Overall it looked like there was some decent movement. The Jan bid will tell the companies intentions since the real point of this bid was only to fill the training for the last couple 777's coming in the Spring. Next 777 Bid will not be until late summer/early fall for the 2 first quarter airframes.
