The ONLY way I stay one second past age 60 is if I lose the pension.

If ya' take the PERP/PIRP, or whatever acronym they're calling it this week, and you haven't turned 60, will what's left of your pension get dinged for leavin' early????

Yes it would still be subject to the 3% penalty per year below age 60. But 9 months of full pay works out to a "reimbursement" of the 3% loss for 34 years to a guy age 59 and 17 years for a guy age 58.

That's the calculation guys are making, and we've got quite a few age 57 and higher.

Look at the Negotiator's Notepad that just got published and e-mailed to everyone. Q&A #5 on page 13 covers your question. All terms of the retirement plan still apply.

I'd like to know what jokers voted the "star" thread rating down from 5 to 4. Isn't that some kind of sacrilege for a thread this long?

Wannabe's, no doubt. We can't all work for the largest and best airline in the world. :D

Hey, I am kind of unclear now about how you feel about Delta pilots. Could you repeat it one more time please, so we can all get it.?
