I see they had an assignment with conflict today on the MSP320B.

Wow. Bad day. It is an ugly IROPS event, but I bet we have some that top this one this summer.

FtB;
You example number four was the triple pay I was looking at for the trip in question. Now granted that was a few years ago, and it really needs to get ugly to get there, but yes, there are ways for that to happen. It was a regualr line trip, then GSWC to an IA. Crazy stuff.

I've got the 1 day/6 month sim period training in MSP next weekend. Never been there. Can someone PM me the quick and dirty about how to get from the hotel to the training center in MSP? Can I catch the hotel shuttle from the airport to the hotel? How long is the ride to the training ctr, etc.? Thanks,

Denny

Denny Download the latest "Checklist" on the DALnet. It explains both training centers etc.

Probably not at JFK. Rode the J/S and landed early afternoon. One of the last arrivals for awhile. Within crosswind limits by a knot or two. +25 knots on final. VERY sporty approach and landing. (I think the Captain's arm is still sore.) Later, trying to depart, estimated peak gust of 67 knots. Tower said their cab was swaying and that the weather euipment was damaged. Might have been 50 aircraft on the airport...tops. The departure boards had 'Cancelled' on all DAL flights, AF, Alitalia and Iberia showed operating, but doubt they went. LOTS of pilots scrambling to find hotels or crashpads.

Not a fun day.
(But home w/ pay.:))

You'll be staying in the Crown Plaza (IF you overnight), probably. Catch the C/P hotel van where all the hotels pick up. If you don't know where that is, ask someone, or simply look for the signs. Finding the hotel van pick up area is the hardest part...that's meant to be encouraging. There are two Crown Plaza hotels. I looked on my cell phone & thought I had the ph#, but was mistaken. Maybe someone else can chime in on that? Once you get on the van, ask the driver if he can run you straight to the training center, (it's called NATCO, and he'll be intimately familiar). If you have an hour of play in your schedule, then you may want to just check into the hotel. The van leaves from the hotel every half-hour. Can't remember if it's the top of the hour, five past, or what. Just ask. It's a 7-10 minute ride. There's a great Thai restaurant (very Mom-n-Poppa San) about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also, a sure-enough Jersey style restaurant that is on the way to the Thai place. It's a pretty good overnight, hotel, eats, locale, etc. The instructors are top shelf guys. Bend over backwards to help you any way they can. There's a deli like restaurant at NATCO as well, but odd hours on weekends. Hope your tng event goes well.
Regards,
Chuck

Nice.
I thought about putting a GS in for the PRG, and VCE flights then saw the loads. Thought better of it and stayed home.
