I was always partial to Hazel Dell Brewpub, if only because I lived around the corner. Love that Captain Vancouver Stout!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Not one knows how the list is going to go.

All pilots will win. Except me. I'll get screwed.
I got screwed in the last merger and I hadn't even been hired yet.

I'm ready though.

I assume you are referring to the Russian Standard :p... The Baltica #6 is the one thats like a porter style beer. I'm not a beer coinisseur, and I am sure that the experts would poo poo the Russian beer, but you are correct.. you can buy it at any kiosk, they will open it for you, and you can drink it while you walk around the city. Hey... it's only 20 below, but at least it's snowing.

ALPA won a major arbitration award for Polar crewmembers this week. Arbitrator Richard Bloch held that the company violated contractual furlough and seniority provisions by furloughing 37 senior flight engineers in July 2007 while retaining more junior pilots. The arbitrator ruled that the furloughed flight engineers must be returned to active duty and made whole for all losses. Bloch ordered the parties to discuss and calculate the remedy as it relates to individual flight engineers.
A new round of Polar flight engineer furloughs occurred on November 1—again out of seniority order. Amazingly, Polar management acted knowing that a ruling on the earlier dispute was imminent since Bloch, at the same time, was conducting executive sessions with the Polar System Board members to finalize the decision in the case already before him. The new out-of-seniority order furloughs have forced ALPA to file another grievance on behalf of Polar flight engineers.

Looks like Bloch ruled for the pilots in this one

Yep it has been many years since I have been to Moscow, but last time I was there it was only 15 rubles for a liter. That is about 50 cents.

Not fair ya'all! I'll be in Taipai Monday night, which is really Tuesday morning. Guess the locals will wonder about the western guy drinking before noon. Good luck to us all. I'll see anyone around at the Jet Lag Club in Narita Wednesday night.

Ya know, if you don't start drinking in the morning you can't say you've been drinking all day!

I think I may go old school and get a 24oz can of Bull Schlitz with a 40oz of Olde English as a backer.
