That's the answer I was looking for and it makes sense. Thanks. :D

No problem, now I can tell my wife I actually accomplished something today. Going on reserve day number six with nothing happening so she is getting a little testy and wondering when I'll go to work.

And now for something completely different....

Our boys and girls in Afghanistan doing Lady Gaga (well, not actually doing her, but performing her works):

YouTube - Telephone Remake!

LOA 22 is on the alpa website. Not much to it.

Reserve portion adds:
Reserves can request multiple short call days in a row and scheduling will make every attempt to comply with the request.

There is more than that.

SOT is a real plus. (Scheduling Optimization Team)

Go download it and read it.

Haven't read it yet, but I love the stuff that says "will make every attempt". Kinda like internet in the hotels and not getting a middle seat on a DH. Alot of times every attempt isn't even one attempt. I'll go read it now.

This has been an active pilot position in the past but they are apparently now going outside the company to fill the position. Guess we might see more of that in the future.

Its been a long, long time since the Mgr-CRM was a pilot (Arne Kraby). Good news is that the Director of Safety understands the connection between FOQA/ASAP/CRM. Now if they can get some of that stuff implemented in the new CQ Training Footprint, training will actually be reflective of what's happening on each particular fleet type.

I did download and read it. No mention of a SOT.

Items on the LOA are:
A-319 European Charter Operations, Sick and Accident Leave, and Short Call

From the C44 "Hotline"

The SOT will work to find common sense solutions to various scheduling issues, to include, but not limited to:
* Seniority on reserve trip assignments
* Bidding for CQ training
* Assignment to short call
* Calculation of reseve requirements
* Reserve unstacking parameters
* Enhanced communications technology
We expect the SOT to be a vehicle for future contract improvement

Yeah, nothing about an SOT or what they do. The Short Call stuff is worth nothing because they already release you at noon on your last day 95% of the time anyways. Now they might not do it on your last day if it is not a "hard" day off the next day because it's "what the contract says."

I'd be surprised if I can get six reserve days on week one, ask for all my SC's that week and get them. They are going to do what they have been doing and use the "we made every effort to accomodate your request" excuse to do nothing different. Nothing good as far as SC goes IMHO.

Getting the charters is great news and the stuff about accident leave and NWA sick leave for disabled guys could be good someone who needs it.

This is a great thing to have. Looks like they know what we need and hopefully we'll get some improvements from this.
