Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

So it only has any value to guys with military commitments, or union guys, on reserve? I thought it was a modest gain before, now it seems even less useful.

No it is for all reserves. The mention of military or union was only to give exapmle of hard days off. It also is for those who have a golden day following the last reserve day.

No, it's useful - it is also for any golden days, of which we have 6 to place on our schedule.

That being said, in a year on reserve on the 7ER I've never been put on SC on my last day. I know others who have been put on SC from say, 1200 to 2359 on their last day. It was only when there was literally no one else.

Bluto, this also applies to Golden X-days so pick yours carefully. I have had several SCs on the last day. This will be quite helpful.
