There have also been a lot of training slots freed up with the canceling of conversions.(Displacements) Some they will be able to reuse, some they will not.

One more week of 73N training before the Clamp show returns... Passed my MV today and now 2 days off. I'll actually be up a bit tonight.

Welcome to the 73 - make sure you have a fresh set of earplugs for each trip.

Just pulled up mine..can't find the rate now either.

I'll go hunting, or some of the better educated guys can help me find where it's posted.....

Go to pay statement (off the pay/hours menu). My payrate is 10 year F/O for 73N = 1.873001/minute = $112.38/hour (which, unfortunately) matches the

I'm sure they will increase the ALV so as to maximize the amount of flying lineholders will fly, I'm just trying to figure out if they will just route F/O's from other bases where they are heavy to pick up the reserve flying.

My hunch is saying they will still keep a bunch of reserves and leave alot of open time while working the reserve pilots as much as humanly possible.

Keep in mid ALV's are system-wide. And TLV's have restrictions.

I think they will, using the time that ACL stated they have, put bodies in NYC and MSP.

GS Pay Question

Not sure how to calculate how much a rotation is worth on a GS. Is it double pay on just the block or the credit also? It's probably gone by now, but the rotation in question is below.

As long as you are a regular line pilot and have the hours to trigger GS pay, a GS pays double pay for the entire trip. If if flown as above the above trip would pay double 10:47.

The reason I ask is I'm one of the post Sept. 07 Nwa pilots who do not have the same date for Date of Hire/Pay/Longevity. I was hired in March of 08 but am still on 2nd year pay. I'm curious what Delta shows as my hourly rate since Nwa pay procedures were so different.

My pay statement shows 1.339243 (2nd yr. 319 F/O) which equals $80.35 an hour. The contract payrate shows $79.94.

I was just wondering if Delta shows an actual rate somewhere in the system. To me it seems more logical to just post what payrate I'm on instead of a per minute rate. Would be easier to check to make sure it's right.

acl65pilot 05-21-2010 12:19 PM

I beleive that it is a per minute rate because you are paid and credited per minute of labor.

flying_wendell 05-21-2010 12:27 PM

Thanks, Denny.

One more question, if I call them back or answer the phone to see what they are offering, am I obligated to take the GS or can I say no thanks.

thanks again.

If they get a hold of you, you are obligated. From the contract:

10. A pilot will be obligated to fly a GS or GSWC rotation if he is notified of and acknowledges the award.

If you have a GS in and do not want to fly, either take it out or monitor your calls.
