The only way to bank PB days is if you fly a GS at the end of the month and the PB days can't be accomplished by the end of the month. You can't have PB days roll over to the following month so they go in a bank. I had four days like that last year. I didn't end up using the days so they tagged it on to my third week of vacation. In essence I had nearly 4 weeks vacation this year.

Thanks guys for all the quick response. I understand for reserve guys to get
above guar., is to get a G/s and the monthly credit exceeds the g/s trigger
pay, is that correct? I'll double check with the PWA for verbiage.

On another note, I'm starting to update my logbook which has been gathering dust for a year (for obvious reasons:), and I just realize there's no easy to go about it, especially I can't pull up any trips beyond last Aug., Is there any less-difficult way go about updating my hours?

Heyas,

Here is some "latest and greatest": NWA FAs are getting bases in ATL and SLC. No rumor...posted in the FA areas in DTW.

Or you can be a 88 reserve fo in Atlanta and make over guarantee every month whether you want to or not. G/s would be ideal though. Haven't seen those around much.

rvr,

Not quite sure what your asking, but if you are on reserve, there really is no GS pay trigger. You get straight pay above the reserve guarantee and your days off paid back starting about 9 hrs from when you block in.

This is what guys do all the time in the summer when we are short. Bid a reserve line with days off in the beginning of the month, get a GS, and start rolling the days off and keep the GS in all month long. If you are lucky, you can fly a normal month and get paid all that time above the reserve guarantee (total about 150+ hrs) plus get some payback days at the end of the month.

Good luck with the logbook issue!! I get the yearly expense report from the easybid guys and it includes a flight log of every flight you did at Delta. It costs $50 and if you don't save more than that on your taxes, they will refund your money. I have found it WELL worth it! If you use easybid, on the widget works portion, they have a monthly flight log that will download your time in a couple of clicks. Widget Works is free but there is a charge, which can be minimal. You have to check with them. Good Luck!!

Great post and i agree. I was on the DC9 first and really enjoyed the flying and the trips. People talk down about the DC9 but it really is a blast to fly. I switched to the bus mainly for family reasons and honestly i miss flying the Diesel 9 ;)

People! People! I have said this before and I'll say it again, those that have to put down someone else or what they do usually are jealous that they can't do it themselves or they don't have much self esteem.
The -9 is a great airplane and it serves an important purpose. It makes a real pilot out of you. Those that find a need to put it down and it's future, most likely would have a hard time even adjusting the seat, let alone fly it 3-4 legs a day in solid IFR weather.
Let it go!

And pilots at DAL will be getting a nice displacement bid here in a few weeks. From what I heard it will be quite bad. Not sure where it will be coming from, but I hope to find out more this week.

Displaced to undermanned categories or displaced to the unemployment line. I am about to put an offer on a house and you just gave my wife a migraine.

acl65pilot 01-04-2009 06:47 PM

The former and not the later as far as I know.

There may be furloughs, but with NWA wicked short, I do not see that happening with this AE. That is my opinion only!
Personally, If I was on the bottom of any list right now, I would not be buying a house. (Depends on how far down the list you are)

What categories are undermanned?
